BigCom DevX | Code of Conduct

Friday, June 17th 3pm-5pm BST, 9am-11am CDT

BigCom DevX is born to bring together a community of BigCommerce developers to share their knowledge and insights on this exciting ecommerce platform.

All welcomed

In line with BigCommerce Community Rules, our events are run with a few hard rules. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with them prior to the event.

Be Professional, Kind, and Courteous.

We want to hear your feedback, thoughts, and questions. However, we expect all communication to be professional and courteous.

No Hate Speech, Bullying, or Harassment.

Bullying or harassment of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity are not allowed. Posts that insult another community member or BigCommerce staff will also not be tolerated.

No Excessive Profanity.

To keep things friendly, the use of swearing and vulgar language is not permitted in excess.

No Promoting Competitors.

This is not a space to discuss, promote, or market the services of another ecommerce platform.

No Spam.

Please stay on topic for the BigCom DevX event, and refrain from posting comments not related to BigCommerce or the ecommerce industry.

No Promotional Posts or Messages.

Don't promote your own products or services unprompted. Avoid talking about your services unless asked.

No Disclosing Private Information.

In order to protect everyone's privacy and security, we ask that you do not disclose any information that is confidential.

Represent Yourself Accurately.

We don’t expect everyone’s zoom username to match their legal name or business name exactly, but be sure that your displayed name does not misrepresent your business or identity. It is against our rules for users not currently employed by BigCommerce or Space 48 to have “BigCommerce” or “Space 48” respectively or any variation in their username.

Persistent or excessive misconduct will result in removal from the event and potential banning from future events.

Space 48 also reserve the right to remove any content or suspend your access without prior notice and at our discretion. Space 48 staff have full discretion to address any behaviour that they feel is problematic and we will evaluate each incident on a case by case basis.
